Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Veystrix is operated by STEM CONNECT LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11584953), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. Our VAT registration number is GB 321954116. "We", "us" and "our" mean that company. "You" means the person using the service.

2. What we provide

A subscription that includes access to our VPN service, the Veystrix Guard checking tools and the free tools on this website. The VPN network is operated for us by a specialist infrastructure provider; we remain responsible to you for the service.

We may add, change or withdraw individual features. If we withdraw something significant that you are paying for, you may cancel and we will refund the unused part of your current period.

3. Your account

You must be 18 or over and give us an email address you control. Sign-in is by a one-time link sent to that address, so keep access to it secure. You are responsible for what happens through your account and for the devices you connect.

4. Acceptable use

Our Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these terms. In short: do not use the service to break the law, to attack or disrupt others, to send spam, or to infringe other people's rights. We may suspend or end your access if you do, and we may have to act on reports we receive from our network provider or from law enforcement.

5. Payment, renewal and cancellation

Prices are shown on our pricing page and include UK VAT where it applies. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel online at any time from your account; cancellation stops the next renewal and your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.

If our prices change. We may change our prices from time to time. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for. If the price of your subscription is going up, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and it takes effect at your next renewal — for a monthly subscription that is your next monthly renewal, and for an annual one your next annual renewal. You can cancel at any point before then, from your account, and you will not be charged the new price. If you do nothing, your subscription continues at the new price.

6. Refunds

Your statutory rights are set out in our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. What we do not promise

We work to keep the service available and fast, but no VPN can be available every second, and speed depends on your own connection, the location you choose and the wider internet.

A VPN encrypts your traffic and hides your IP address from the sites you visit. It does not make you anonymous, does not remove malware, and does not stop you giving information to someone who asks for it convincingly. Veystrix Guard is an assistant: its analysis can be wrong, and you should not treat it as a guarantee that something is safe.

8. Our liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Otherwise, and because this is a consumer service sold at a modest price, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for loss arising because you used the service for a business purpose.

9. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the service and cancel at any time. We may end or suspend your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we stop providing the service — in which case we will give you reasonable notice and refund the unused part of your period.

10. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email before it takes effect, and you may cancel if you do not accept it.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK you may also use your local courts.
